Ian Easterling

CEO / Founder

Ian graduated from Elon University in Greensboro, NC with a Bachelor's degree in Integrative Biology, minoring in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Psychology. During his college tenure, he spent time working as a veterinary assistant, as well as a small animal keeper and tour guide at a privately owned animal sanctuary. He also spent a semester studying wildlife conservation and management in Kenya and Tanzania.

After graduating in May of 2014, Ian spent a summer giving tours in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park for BackCountry Safaris. He then spent a year as a middle school science teacher before moving to Naples to become a Conservation Associate at the Conservancy of Southwest Florida. After six months of educating the public on the plight of the western Everglades, he shifted his focus to field research as a Burmese python research and removal field technician.

"I want to get people out of their climate controlled boxes to appreciate the natural world around them. If everyone enjoys their time outdoors, then I believe that they will be more willing to revisit it, and eventually appreciate the intricacies of the biosphere."
